Hippity hoppity Easter's on it's Way!

We had our first Easter egg hunt of the year with our neighborhood! We saw lots of old friends and even made some new ones! It was beyond windy the day of the hunt so excuse our hair! Gotta love springtime in north Texas!

Taylor Swift

We are not typically big concert goers, however, we had a week full of them, well, two! :) Just two days after John Mayer, Olivia and I went to see Taylor Swift. We went with two of her other friends and their mommies, and had a great time!

We were so surprised and happy to run into Kennedy while we were there! The girls even got matching concert t-shirts, they are so cute!

So, the biggest disappointment of the night... our seats... Here is our wonderful view from them...

I was literally scared to go back down in the dark, it was so steep. Thankfully there were no bathroom breaks!

And here was what was next to Olivia, the partition. We were literally the last 2 seats on the side of the stage... at the tippy-top!

Even though our seats were awful, and we had a hard time hearing sweet Taylor, the experience itself was fun enough! Taylor had many outfit changes, sang a TON of sonds, and even sang out in the audience... in the seats surrounded by fans! I wish we could have had the full effect of seeing the stage from the front and seeing the video screens that played throughout. But I have definitely learned my lesson, good seats or no seats! :)

I am excited that this was Olivia's first concert and I was able to share that experience with her!

John Mayer

When we found out that John Mayer was coming to town Denny and I thought it would be fun to see him in concert. We ended going with our good friends Summer and Layton and we had a great night!

We started out with dinner at Taco Diner and then made our way down to the concert.

Once we got to the concert we ran into several other friends and enjoyed hanging out with them a little before the show started!

John Mayer was awesome in concert! I have to admit that we were not huge fans before the concert but that all changed... I am hooked! He was so great and we had so much fun!!! I

cannot wait to see him in concert again!

Valentine's Day

I love Valentine's Day! And not for the reason many would think. I actually do not want gifts or flowers, just some chocolate and time with the people that have my heart! It is so fun to celebrate this holiday with our kids, I just think it is such a sweet, stress-free holiday!

This year our day was very low-key, which was great! We gave the kids a small gift when they woke up that morning and then just went about our day!

Earlier in the week Denny had been invited to the NBA All-Star game and I insisted he go! Although I missed him, I knew it was one of those once in a lifetime things! So while he was spending his afternoon/evening with these people......

I doubt any bakeries will be banging down my door for my secret recipe (Pillsbury box mix), or for my secret decorating tips, but we had fun and it kept us all entertained... and full!

February Snow Day

I have to clarify in which month this snow occured since we have had so many... and I am SO behind! So, I will keep it brief since we are all so glad to finally be done with winter and moving on to spring!

As much as I dislike winter, the snow really was beautiful!

Thursday night we found out that school would be canceled the following day, so I let Olivia sleep in (which was until 7:00 a.m.) and then we made donuts for breakfast! She really likes to help out in the kitchen and we had alot of fun!

After filling our bellies, it was time to head out to our winter wonderland!

We made this wonderful snowman, did snow angels, had a snowball fight, went sledding, etc... basically all the typical fun in the snow stuff!

Jack loved the snow, as long as he wasn't sitting in it, for some reason he didn't like that at all!

We were oh so classy with our make-shift sled!

Jack had a great time despite the icy roads..., and pink and purple car!

Lucky for you I did not take any pictures of our last snow, just last week! Hopefully this will be it for a very long time!

2010 Daddy-Daughter Dance

Way back when in the beginning of February Olivia and Denny attended the annual Daddy-Daughter dance with Olivia's BFF Kennedy and her daddy! Just like last year the girls chose Chili's as their choice for dinner after the dance! They had a great time and we look forward to next year's dance!
