Spring Break

We had a ton of fun over spring break! We had lots of playdates (although no pictures to prove it!), celebrated St. Patrick's Day with the Dale girls, played outside as much as we could, and on Thursday Denny took the day off so we could do something as a family! We had discussed going to the Dallas Arboretum for Dallas Blooms, but after hearing about the scary crowds everywhere we decided to hang close to home!

We went up to Frisco Commons, a big park nearby, since it was a gorgeous, and warm day! Olivia had fun exploring, but I'm sure she probably would have had more fun with a friend versus her boring parents! :)

Attempting to be brave and walk across that "high" balance beam!

Jack spent the entire park trip drinking his bottle! Not one of his favorite pastimes lately, so it is taking forever these days! And it was only 4 ounces!!!! Must run in the family, his big sister was the same way! This was the best pic I could get of him! He was staring at his bottle, acting like he was interested. I could not get his attention for the life of me! I guess looking at it was far more fun than actually drinking it!
After the park, we headed to Gloria's to enjoy lunch on their patio. We finally returned home so Jack could nap, and decided to turn on the sprinkler in the backyard for Liv. She and Denny were cracking me up!
You get him Liv!

Rub-a-dub-dub

Jack's in the big boy tub! We finally moved ginormous Jack from that itty-bitty infant bath seat to this bath ring! Yea! It is so much easier for me and Jack is having a blast, and so is Liv. She thinks it is pretty cool to take a bath with her brother!

Post bath dry off

Ah, the towel feels so good on my aching gums... or tongue.

I just had to get a pic of his cute rolls!

Jack + Beck = Best Buds

As I think I have mentioned before my good friend Allison and I were both blessed with sweet baby boys this summer! They are only 6 weeks apart so we just know they are destined to be the best of friends, just like we are! A couple of weeks ago, while our "big" girls were at school we got the boys together for a playdate! It was hysterical to see them together! Allison and I both laughed so hard we were crying! It was so much fun and I hope we do it again very soon!

Checking each other out from afar.
A little closer... both look so unsure about what is going on!

And now it's time to explore!

Beck was so sweet to put his arm around Jack! What a gentleman! ;)

Finally realizing they can actually turn their heads and see one another face to face!
This is fun!!!
Beck is clearly ready for Jack to be out of his personal space!

But Jack is not ready for Beck to go just yet!
One day we will look back and wish they would sit this still again!

The Many Faces of Jack

Here is Jack happily playing on the floor...
starting to have not so much fun...

so upset -- and so cute as well!

and just like that, happy again!

and slowly going downhill...

to downright upset again!
He is probably wondering why I am enjoying taking pictures of him while he is clearly unhappy!

Two Bugs in a Rug

Olivia has gotten into Jack's crib many times, but a couple of weeks ago, she thought it would be fun to get in with Jack. Not only that, but she had picked up an old fassy laying around and decided it would also be fun to try it on for size since she has never enjoyed that pleasure! Here are my two little bugs in a rug!

Such sisterly love! Jack is probably hoping this new sleeping arrangement in not permanent, there's hardly enough room for him in the crib as it is!

I have so much to catch up on so keep checking back! Between little things we've done around here and spring break, there will lots of new posts coming soon!

Happy (Belated) 7th Month Birthday Jack!

So, this is very late, but nevertheless.... On March 7th Jack turned 7 months old!

I feel like we have seen Jack change so much this month. And I must say I am very reluctant to let my baby grow up! It is going by so much faster this time around and I'm not happy about it! Even though it does get more and more fun, I just want him to stay a baby just a little bit longer!!!

As for what Jack is up to at 7 months.... He is completely sitting on his own and it's so fun to see him really reach as far as he can for toys or just sit and play with whatever is in front of him. He has also started really babbling. He started with babababa and soon thereafter went to dadada or didididid, he really likes that string! He'll say gagagaga too, but we need to work on mamamama. He's only said that twice and it was when he was crying! So of course I ran to his rescue! ;) We are still however fighting his disdain for being on his stomach. He truly likes it less and less each day. So, not much new on that front! I do need to get a picture of him on his belly though. He does this funny thing where he will completely get up on his knees and try to scoot. But he does nothing with his arms! Or he'll push the lower half of his body up with his toes while his legs are outstretched. It looks somewhat like baby yoga! Hopefully he'll catch on before long and realize he has to move those arms!

Overall he is still just as precious and sweet as always. He lights up our days with his sweet smile and disposition. We are truly blessed!
